Join WSDMO

Voting membership includes all Washington state convention and visitor bureaus and, if no convention and visitor bureau exists in an area, the designated destination marketing organization responsible for a geographic area. If there is both a visitor and convention bureau and a destination marketing organization responsible for at least a portion of the same geographical area, the latter shall not be admitted to membership without the agreement of the bureau member and shall hold a non-voting membership.

If you are interested in applying for membership, please send a letter addressed to the WSDMO president, this can be done by completing this form. Requests for membership must be approved by the executive committee.

What we do/ member benefits
The WSDMO aims to meet adjacent with the Tourism Commission meetings (6-8 times a year). In addition to meetings, the WSDMO:
• Advocates on tourism before the state legislature, the Department of Commerce and the State Tourism Commission
• Sends legislative alerts and updates
• Provides a subscription and opportunity to submit information to Tourism Today - an electronic publication WSDMO sends to legislators, Tourism Commission members and others in the industry
• Provides an opportunity to exchange information with colleagues throughout the state, particularly with room tax and other financial issues
• Produces meetings & events
• Provides networking opportunities
• Allows business listing on WSDMO website
• Allows members to list any of their upcoming meetings or events on WSDMO website
• Allows members an opportunity to serve on one of several committees to help shape the WSDMO as well as define key issues and opportunities for the tourism industry, and implement plans to move these issues forward
